About the role
- Provide legal advice and support to the business at all levels and across a broad range of sectors
- Advise on projects spanning a range of sectors including Defence and Energy
- Review, draft and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements
- Be involved in advisory work, the preparation of precedent documents and providing legal support for internal projects
Requirements
- A qualified solicitor with at least 5 years PQE either in private practice or in-house
- Experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including supply terms, framework agreements, memorandums of understanding, joint venture agreements and subcontracts
- Ability to provide training and guidance to team members and the business on relevant legal developments
- Very good written and oral communication and the ability to easily interact with project teams, senior management and external parties
- Good ability to work to challenging timeframes and under pressure, handle effectively
- Ability to work well independently, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to participate in a collaborative team environment
- Experienced in supporting the training and development of junior team members
