About the role

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive enterprise data governance strategy, policies, and procedures
  • Establish and oversee organization-wide data governance frameworks, standards, and accountability models to ensure data quality, compliance, and strategic value
  • Serve as the executive advocate for data stewardship, promoting a culture of data ownership and shared responsibility across business and technology teams
  • Define, implement, and monitor data quality standards, metrics, and processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of data within the ERP and related systems
  • Oversee the deployment and adoption of data catalog, data lineage, and data glossary solutions
  • Integrate data governance controls and best practices into business and technology workflows
  • Oversee and mentor data owners, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities
  • Promote and manage data governance operations in major programs
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards
  • Create, maintain, and socialize data governance policies and procedures
  • Lead data literacy initiatives and governance training programs to foster a culture of data stewardship and shared responsibility
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for data governance adoption, data quality improvements, and business impact

Requirements

  • 7+ years in data governance, data management, or business intelligence, with a proven track record of leading enterprise-wide governance initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field required
  • Knowledge of data governance tools and platforms (e.g., data catalog, lineage, quality monitoring) such as Informatica, Alation, Collibra
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Demonstrated executive presence, with the ability to educate, influence, and build consensus among senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience facilitating forums, leading committees, and presenting to executive audiences
  • Experience managing complex, enterprise-wide projects, with strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to understand and align data governance initiatives with Teradyne’s strategic data needs and business objectives.
