About the role

Write, modify, and debug software for client and web applications
Work closely with team members, management, designers, product management, QA, DBAs, and support teams
Translate design specifications into web/client applications that work across multiple devices
Contribute to design and architecture of the platform and conceive architectural approaches
Ensure architectural integrity, consistency, and re-use across company products
Assist DBAs to design and update database tables, queries, and stored procedures
Perform engineering-level tests, validate and troubleshoot development and production issues
Develop technical specifications or prototypes and document best practices and development standards
Perform development on intricate aspects of the architecture and system
Provide technical consultancy and advise management on product roadmaps and technology evaluations
Recommend improvements to existing software programs and adapt to changing priorities

Significant experience with C#, ASP.Net MVC, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, nHibernate or similar ORM, SQL and relational databases, and web development in general
Development on web applications that utilized Responsive Web Design techniques highly preferred
Well versed in SQL and relational databases; experience with Microsoft SQL Server required
Experience with Twitter Bootstrap CSS Framework, Agile/iterative development processes, and higher education experience are pluses
Experience with PowerBuilder, VB6, and knowledge of administrative software
Thorough knowledge of business logic in one or more modules of the application, or comparable work experience
Ability to estimate tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and customers
Experience working with Quality Assurance, DBAs, and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
