About the role

  • As Senior Sales Manager, you are responsible for acquiring, managing and expanding customer relationships in a technical and demanding market.
  • You play a central role in sales and make a significant contribution to the company’s revenue growth.
  • New customer acquisition: Identify and approach potential new customers in the B2B sector, specifically in the process and plant engineering industries.
  • Sales of technical products/solutions: Understand customers’ technical requirements and offer tailored solutions from our portfolio.
  • Sales strategy and market analysis: Develop and implement sales strategies, perform market analyses and monitor competitors to identify growth opportunities.
  • Contract negotiations: Independently conduct complex contract negotiations at decision-maker level, demonstrating negotiation skills and technical expertise.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Engineering and Marketing to accurately meet customer requirements.
  • Targeted revenue responsibility: Responsible for achieving sales targets and revenue results and for reporting to Sales Management.
  • Trade shows and events: Attend relevant trade fairs, conferences and events to represent the company and its products and to generate new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in selling technical products and solutions within the software industry, preferably in the process industry and/or plant engineering.
  • Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable technical qualification.
  • Solid experience in acquiring and managing customers in a technical environment, ideally within a similar industry.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and to understand complex customer requirements and convert them into solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to establish long-term partnerships as well as close short-term deals.
  • A driven, self-motivated sales professional capable of independently achieving sales and growth targets.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings and trade shows.
  • Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.
