About the role
- Train sterilization staff in the unit’s various activities
- Supervise the work of sterilization staff
- Validate and release sterilization cycles under authorization from the pharmacist responsible for the central sterilization unit
- Participate in the unit’s quality assurance activities: drafting procedures and ensuring their implementation, managing non-conformities, reporting, analysis and resolution
- Act as the liaison between the central sterilization unit and client services (7 operating theatres, 80 care departments) together with the service leads or managers
- Communicate and disseminate information within the sterilization unit and to client services
- Participate in the various meetings of the central sterilization unit
- Assist with management of consumables inventory together with the supervisor/manager
- Assist with schedule planning together with the supervisor/manager
- Provide technical supervision and training for interns, new staff and personnel under their responsibility
Requirements
- State Diploma in Nursing with prior professional experience
- State Diploma in Operating Room Nursing (OR Nurse)
- Hospital Pharmacy Technician
- Laboratory Technician
