About the role

  • Responsible for the quarterly and annual worldwide income tax provision consolidation and reporting process
  • Supporting the preparation of the Company’s US Federal income tax return and working with external advisors to prepare the Company’s US state and local tax returns
  • Work on special projects with other members of the Company’s Finance organization to build efficiencies within the Company’s tax processes and to identify and implement tax saving strategies
  • Effectively managing the company's tax risks and liabilities associated with various business transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, and public offerings
  • Responsible for the internal controls of recording and tracking income, property taxes and other tax information
  • Prepare the quarterly and annual consolidation of the worldwide income tax provision to include US and foreign calculation based on US GAAP rules
  • Prepare effective tax rate analysis and analytical tools for quarterly and annual financial statement processes
  • Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly and year-to-date tax balance sheet reconciliations and manage the monthly tax account reconciliation process
  • Prepare interim tax rate forecast and analysis
  • Support Financial Planning & Analysis group for forecasting pre-tax book income by legal entity
  • Prepare quarterly and annual tax disclosure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, CPA preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of accounting experience with a minimum of 5 years in public accounting
  • Minimum of 3 years tax management experience in the private sector is preferred
  • Proven ability in the areas of Financial Analysis, Auditing, Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC filings
  • Previous multi-state responsibility and reporting requirements, with 1 to 2 years’ aerospace industry experience preferred
  • Ability to prepare and analyze tax for a geographically disperse organization
  • Demonstrated ability to develop models and other tools of analysis for financial management reporting
  • Strong professional written, speaking and presentation skills are required
  • Competency with large integrated accounting systems and Microsoft Suite software, including Excel and Access
  • Ability to travel globally, if required
