About the role
- Design, develop, and maintain ServiceNow HRSD and HRIT workflows, modules, and custom applications to support modernization goals.
- Configure and customize features such as Case & Knowledge Management, Employee Center, GovTA, and other HR-focused capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with HRIT stakeholders, HR business units, and modernization teams to gather requirements and translate them into secure ServiceNow solutions.
- Develop and maintain client scripts, server scripts, business rules, UI policies, Flow Designer flows, and integrations.
- Integrate ServiceNow with HR systems, identity platforms, and enterprise data sources using APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Servers, or other approved tools.
- Support HRIT modernization roadmaps by identifying opportunities to automate HR processes, improve employee experience, and consolidate legacy tools.
- Ensure all ServiceNow configurations and customizations meet federal requirements for security, privacy, accessibility (Section 508), and FedRAMP compliance.
- Assist in platform upgrades, regression testing, release management, and troubleshooting across development, test, and production environments.
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and deliver iterative releases aligned with modernization milestones.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations for platform governance, CMDB structure, data integrity, and HR service architecture.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, HR Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience, including HRSD, custom scoped apps, and integrations
- Demonstrated experience on federal government contracts, preferably within HHS or similar civilian health agencies
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow HR Service Delivery (HRSD), including HR Case Management and Employee Center
- Experience with GovTA (Government Talent Acquisition) or similar HR recruitment/onboarding systems
- Proficiency with JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and general ServiceNow development best practices
- Strong understanding of HR business processes and HR service modernization.
