About the role
- Lead a team of 6+ engineers
- Guide the design, development, and operation of systems and system components, including hands-on code contributions
- People management, including hiring, promotions, and performance management
- Provide technical mentorship and coaching for growth
Requirements
- Engineering Lead or Engineering Manager with at least 2 years of experience in the role
- A track record of delivering complex, performant, reliable, and scalable distributed systems and/or infrastructure in a Cloud environment (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in Java, C#, Go, C++, or Rust, with Java preferred
- Experience with CDNs (e.g., Cloudflare, CloudFront), Load Balancers (e.g., NGINX, Envoy) and Service Mesh is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and experience working across multiple teams
- Understanding of how to foster Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables; Experience in building company internal platforms and collaborating with feature teams is a plus
