About the role
- Advise clients on contractual and dispute-related matters including claims strategy and resolution
- Conduct forensic quantum analysis of large datasets and present findings in structured, compelling formats
- Support expert witnesses with quantum assessments and draft high-quality report sections
- Review project documentation and gather evidence relevant to disputes
- Liaise with client management, legal teams, and external counsel
- Lead or contribute to internal training and mentor junior consultants
- Support business development initiatives and represent HKA with professionalism
- Work on high-profile international cases and collaborate with industry-leading experts
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in a construction-related discipline
- Secondary legal qualification highly desirable
- Significant experience in international contracting (infrastructure, oil & gas, nuclear, or power generation preferred)
- Strong background in adjudication, arbitration and/or litigation with hands-on experience preparing for formal proceedings
- Proven ability to conduct forensic quantum analysis and produce high-quality reports
- Experience navigating complex disputes across LATAM and international markets
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to interpret complex datasets
- Clear, persuasive written and verbal communication skills in English, Spanish and Portuguese
- Proficient in MS Excel and Word; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus
- Leadership ability to manage complex tasks and mentor others
- Comfortable building client relationships and representing the firm professionally
- Experience supporting expert witnesses and drafting report sections
- Experience in business development and internal training/mentoring
