About the role

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for transformer and high-voltage breaker service projects.
  • Perform on-site assessments and define the scope of work with customers.
  • Provide technical support for troubleshooting and testing of electrical components and control systems.
  • Support oil handling and testing activities to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with sales, bid/tender, and safety teams to execute projects.
  • Deliver accurate technical input for field reports, quotations, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of hands-on experience with transformers and high-voltage breakers
  • At least 4 years of experience as a field team lead or in a similar role
  • High school diploma or equivalent general education
  • Strong mechanical skills and good knowledge of heavy equipment
  • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn Salesforce
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Bilingual in French and English
  • Candidate must already hold work authorization permitting employment with Hitachi Energy in Canada.
