About the role

  • Lead and manage people operations for U.S. and international HQ staff
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational values
  • Support talent acquisition, employee relations, and performance management
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes for US/HQ employees
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements
  • Ensure recruitment practices comply with donor requirements and labor laws
  • Serve as primary point for employee relations issues and compliance
  • Lead implementation of performance review processes and manage employee development initiatives

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience working in Human Resources
  • 2 years of benefits administration experience with 401k plans and open enrollment analysis
  • Experience working in nonprofit, humanitarian organization preferred
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as Paylocity and/or ADP
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong project management skills; excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Judaism and/or Jewish community issues is a plus
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and active listening skills
  • Strong customer-service skills; analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
