About the role
- Lead a highly complex department and/or product category
- Act as primary support to manager
- Plan and develop marketing and sales efforts for a category of products
- Develop plans to increase sales, market share, and profitability
- Manage supplier partner relationships
- Conduct category analysis and strategy development
- Negotiate supplier distribution agreements
- Mentor other Product Category Managers and specialists
- Oversee process of all new product submissions
Requirements
- Typically 10 or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience
- 5 years of combined marketing and/or sales experience, or the equivalent required
- 3 or more years of management experience
- Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline
- Master's degree or global equivalent a plus
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong PC skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to make independent decisions
