About the role

  • Lead mission focused teams of software engineers to improve the lives of Henry Schein One users
  • Help recruit, develop, and retain engineers to create a high-performing team
  • Oversee team leaders and support them in fulfilling their mission and delivery commitments
  • Enable your teams to practice continuous delivery at scale
  • Inspire, motivate, and coach team leads and their teams to support continuous growth and developments
  • Ensure products are secure, compliant and reliable for Henry Schein One customers
  • Collaborate with senior leaders on the vision and strategy for your workstreams and products
  • Partner closely with Product leadership to influence and understand the strategic goals of your teams
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships and influence others
  • Enable process and practice maturity to deliver on global growth opportunities
  • Positively influence decision-making to improve practices across your teams

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive software development experience
  • 2+ years leading high-performing teams in remote or hybrid environments
  • Proven technical expertise with PHP using Laravel and Symfony
  • Strong people leadership skills: mentoring, coaching, and supporting career development
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API design and integration
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Experience with AI tooling (Cursor or others)
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and reliable
