About the role

  • Promote clients' overall quality of life in health care facilities
  • Exercise a moderate level of initiative and independent judgment to determine work priorities
  • Work in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Southern Health-Santé Sud
  • Serve as an integral member of a team that ensures clients' recreational needs are met

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent, relevant experience
  • Experience working with older adults
  • Grade 12 diploma required
  • Certificate from a Therapeutic Recreation/Leisure program or equivalent relevant training required
  • At minimum, completion of four courses in the program leading to a certificate in Older Adult Recreation/Leisure Programming
  • Valid Class 4 driver's license (depending on site)
