About the role
- Contribute to the design of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and low-voltage systems
- Create and refine construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit
- Perform calculations for load analysis, circuiting, and lighting layouts
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions
- Apply codes and standards (NEC, IBC, IECC, etc.) to ensure compliance and safety
- Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas that make a real impact
- Learn from experienced professionals while taking ownership of your work
Requirements
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- 0–3 years of experience in electrical design (internships, co-ops, or full-time roles)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
- A solid foundation in electrical systems and a desire to keep learning
- Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
- A passion for solving problems and creating smart, efficient designs
- Experience with commercial or retail projects (Bonus)
- Knowledge of lighting design software (AGi32, Dialux) (Bonus)
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup tools (Bonus)
