About the role
- Provide oversight and management of the Procure-to-pay team including the reporting and filing requirements of this process.
- Ensure an accurate and timely quarter-end close, including the preparation and/or review of reconciliations and journal entries, ensuring timely payment of vendors and employees, accuracy of coding of expenses and assisting with preparation of internal financial reports.
- Supervise activities, mentor direct reports, and provide technical guidance to Procure-to-Pay team
- Lead answering inquiries, training, troubleshooting, and researching, particularly around system issues
- Drive process improvements to streamline workflow
- Prepare balance sheets and P&L flux on designated general ledger accounts
- Review monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
Requirements
- Minimum of BS degree in accounting with minimum 6 years of experience in Accounting including Accounts Payable and General Ledger (or equivalent combination of education/experience will be considered)
- Proven track record of working within a fast-paced, dynamic, rapid-growth environment
- Public company and SOX-compliant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience preferred
- Experience with Great Plains, Concur, ReQLogic and Mineral Tree applications is preferred
- Solid experience in problem solving skills, analytical thinking and visionary skills necessary to grow a company are of major importance.
