About the role
- Manage the full lifecycle of 1099 filings and tax documentation for entertainment productions—from maintaining filing records and completing monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations to preparing corrected documents and partnering with leadership on amendments.
- Work alongside experienced entertainment payroll professionals while making a meaningful impact for our production clients.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations for all 1099 filings for all necessary accounts.
- Work with the VP and Sr. Operations Manager for accounts that need to be amended.
- Assist clients when they request copies of filings.
- Maintain, complete and distribute corrected tax documents as needed.
- Participate in quarter/year-end reconciliations.
- Provide support and/or back up as necessary for other team members.
- Create, review, and update procedures for all assigned tasks.
- Assist with various miscellaneous projects as needed.
Requirements
- Over 2 years of experience handling entertainment payroll tax filings for tax incentives
- Experience with Google Workspace, Excel, and tax/project management platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive in seeking improvements rather than just maintaining the status quo.
- Ability to manage high volumes and work under pressure
- Acute attention to detail
