About the role
- Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding market presence for WFS (a Grainger company)
- Identify and pursue new leads through networking, cold calling, data analytics, referrals, and other prospecting methods
- Develop and deliver compelling pitches and WFS’s value proposition to secure new clients and partnerships
- Create and manage a pipeline of potential opportunities to support sustained growth
- Negotiate and close opportunities to drive revenue and profitability
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs
- Prepare and present sales proposals to prospective clients, including participation in panel reviews
- Track and report on business development activities and performance metrics
- Collaborate with internal teams and travel as needed for customer meetings, industry events, and plant tours
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred (or a related field)
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role (preferred)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, industry events, and plant tours
