About the role

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding market presence for WFS (a Grainger company)
  • Identify and pursue new leads through networking, cold calling, data analytics, referrals, and other prospecting methods
  • Develop and deliver compelling pitches and WFS’s value proposition to secure new clients and partnerships
  • Create and manage a pipeline of potential opportunities to support sustained growth
  • Negotiate and close opportunities to drive revenue and profitability
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends and customer needs
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to prospective clients, including participation in panel reviews
  • Track and report on business development activities and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with internal teams and travel as needed for customer meetings, industry events, and plant tours

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred (or a related field)
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role (preferred)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel for customer meetings, industry events, and plant tours
