About the role

  • As Project Manager (m/f/d) you will act as the owner’s/client’s representative and contribute to varied open-space and infrastructure projects of overarching importance to the state of Berlin.
  • You will ensure professional project and construction management and enable transparent planning and implementation processes with active involvement of diverse user and stakeholder groups.
  • Assume all project control responsibilities as the owner’s/client’s representative in the project.
  • Coordinate and manage all project participants with regard to costs, schedules and quality.
  • Participate in project initiation and structuring as well as in conceptual planning.
  • Tendering and awarding of construction and planning services in the role of the owner’s/client’s representative.
  • Ensure aesthetic, functional, sustainable and cost-effective solutions from preliminary design through execution.

Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in open-space planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge of project and construction management as well as project controlling, particularly in cost- and schedule-secure project management.
  • Excellent communication and cooperation skills as well as proven presentation and facilitation/moderation abilities.
  • Professional knowledge of the procurement regulations of the State of Berlin (LHO, HOAI, VOB, VOL, VgV) as well as the ABau and other discipline-specific regulations.
  • Independent and process-oriented working style.
  • Team and coordination skills as well as a friendly and confident manner.
  • Confident user of MS Office (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Project.
  • English skills are desirable.
