About the role
- Work with various departments to prioritize work orders and set-up tasks in an assigned production cell.
- Assist supervision and workforce in the resolution of work order or shop supply discrepancies, problems and/or concerns.
- Maintains clean work environment in compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations.
- Exemplifying a safety-first mind-set and ensuring that the GKN Aerospace Health, Safety and Environmental policies and standards are applied.
- Driving the disciplined and rigorous maintenance behind the Lean Operating Model (LOM) pull system.
- Coordinate with management and the production control team members to ensure that production needs are met efficiently and effectively.
- Reviewing production reports to identify any potential problems with the process and communicating with management.
- Train new members of staff in production processes and pull system.
- Implement improvements to production methods/pull system to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Investigate and resolve any problems that arise during the logistical move process.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 – 3+ years of Manufacturing or Warehousing and logistics experience, including some ERP/ MRP experience.
- Required basic computer and math skills
- Practitioner level for Internal Flow & Warehousing
- Use of Material Handling Equipment
- Must be fluent (speaking and reading) the English Language.
