About the role
- Build and customize applications on the ServiceNow platform, including ITSM modules like Incident, Problem, and Change Management
- Connect the ServiceNow platform with other systems and applications using technologies like REST/SOAP
- Create custom scripts, including Business Rules and Script Includes, to automate processes and meet business requirements
- Perform administrative tasks, such as user and role management, system maintenance, and health checks
- Customize user interfaces, forms, and workflows to align with business needs
- Provide end-user support and troubleshooting for issues related to integrated processes and platform functionality
- Work with end users, stakeholders, and management to define and create reports, dashboards, and data analysis products
- Contribute to IT-related technical processes reviews, postmortems, and continual process improvement
- Create estimations on effort required to produce ServiceNow functionality
- Grow junior talent through mentoring, partnership, and technical reviews
- Maintain current ServiceNow and industry certifications while obtaining additional certifications
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience
- Required Skills: Experience in developing and customizing ServiceNow applications and modules, especially ITSM
- Proficiency with integration methods like SOAP, REST, and web services, including creating and consuming them
- Strong scripting skills with at least one language – preferably JavaScript
- Experience with ServiceNow's data management tools such as Import Sets, Transform Maps, and the CMDB
- Proficient in designing, creating, and maintaining workflows and custom applications
- Strong understanding of the Agile software testing process
- Required Certifications: CompTia Security+; ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator (CSA); ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD); ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management (CIS – ITSM)
- Security Clearance Level: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance
- US Citizenship Required
