About the role
- Oversee development / execution of strategies within assigned category spend group
- Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels
- Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers
- Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
- Manage claims
- Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
- Developing specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field
- Serves as a best practice/quality resource
- Has awareness of latest functional developments in own area
- Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensures delivery within area of responsibility
- Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, or equivalent consulting experience
- Strong experience in MRO commodity
- Demonstrated ability in leading large scale organizational, process, and culture change
- MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering, or equivalent experience/ knowledge
