About the role

  • Undertake power system studies and analyses using simulation software, such as MATLAB, DIGsILENT and/or ETAP
  • Perform system and equipment design and specification
  • Support test & validation, commissioning and in through life service support
  • Produce clear and concise engineering documentation
  • Ensure Power System designs comply with the relevant health & safety, international standards, and class society rules where applicable
  • Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders, such as leadership teams, customers and suppliers, managing requirements
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant class and marine standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant subject
  • Sole British citizenship with a valid British Passport (“UK Eyes only”)
  • Possession of or being capable of obtaining SC level security clearance
  • Relevant equipment and systems-level experience, preferably in industrial, marine, or naval defense sectors
  • Willing to travel within the UK and internationally for short-term assignments
  • Working towards or hold CEng qualification (nice to have)
  • Expertise in power system modelling, power electronics, machines and drives (PEMD) (nice to have)
  • Familiarity with marine classification society standards, MIL or DEF standards (nice to have)
