About the role
- Analyze, design and develop unifying roadmaps, design patterns, and implementation priorities across the ingestion, lake and warehouse services
- Mentor and support the platforms specific architects, engineers, and service owners
- Identify gaps in and advance service compliance with data and security regulations like CMMC, DFARS, ITAR, NIST 800-171
- Leads the research and evaluation of emerging data technology, industry and market trends
- Assist with monitoring, tracking and forecasting of cloud costs across services
- Act as a bridge between the Ingestion, Data Lake, & Data warehouse Service Teams and the Data Automation, Data Analytics, & BI/Viz Service Teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years in databases, data space, AWS Redshift, & data ingestion
- Minimum of 4 years of experience on AWS or equivalent cloud technologies
- Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Proficiency in data storage technologies: relational databases, NoSQL databases, data lakes, and cloud storage services
- Experience with big data technologies: Hadoop, Spark, etc.
- Experience with designing and implementing security policies in AWS (IAM, resource policies, roles)
- Familiar with concepts of IT total cost of ownership.
