About the role
- Configure, deploy, and maintain test and integration environments across multiple platforms (on-premises, virtual, cloud, containerized).
- Ensure environments closely mirror production for reliability and accurate testing results.
- Automate environment provisioning and deployment using scripting and automation tools.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and infrastructure teams to understand infrastructure requirements and resolve issues.
- Manage data and databases, including refreshing, masking, and restoring as needed.
- Monitor the health and performance of environments, respond to incidents, and resolve outages quickly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of environment configurations, processes, and changes.
- Implement and maintain environment monitoring and logging tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to environment stability, automation, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and change management policies.
Requirements
- Strong experience in system administration of Windows and/or Linux environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and container solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
- Basic database administration (SQL or NoSQL) and familiarity with test data management techniques.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Tenable Nessus, Nagios, Prometheus, ELK, etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
