About the role

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain test and integration environments across multiple platforms (on-premises, virtual, cloud, containerized).
  • Ensure environments closely mirror production for reliability and accurate testing results.
  • Automate environment provisioning and deployment using scripting and automation tools.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and infrastructure teams to understand infrastructure requirements and resolve issues.
  • Manage data and databases, including refreshing, masking, and restoring as needed.
  • Monitor the health and performance of environments, respond to incidents, and resolve outages quickly.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of environment configurations, processes, and changes.
  • Implement and maintain environment monitoring and logging tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to environment stability, automation, and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with security, data privacy, and change management policies.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in system administration of Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and container solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, Ansible, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
  • Basic database administration (SQL or NoSQL) and familiarity with test data management techniques.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Tenable Nessus, Nagios, Prometheus, ELK, etc.) is preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
