About the role
- Advise and support food retail (LEH) customers in your territory as the expert point of contact for spices in the Dortmund and Hamm region
- Onboard, provide professional and disciplinary leadership, and motivate your team, including substitution and vacation planning
- Build and maintain long-term, partnership-based relationships with decision-makers in the food retail sector
- Analyze and manage sales metrics (KPIs) and distribution implementations, and initiate targeted measures to exploit customer-specific potential
- Coordinate shelf agreements and plan new store setups in close cooperation with customers and the refit team
- Agree and implement secondary placements to promote sales
- Monitor the market and ensure POS excellence
- Conduct regional meetings and training sessions and support recruitment processes
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training, preferably in FMCG or retail
- Solid industry knowledge of the food retail sector and strong regional networks (e.g., as a district manager, store manager, or sales manager)
- Ideally first leadership experience and an understanding of KPIs
- Good knowledge of standard MS Office applications
- Driver’s license and willingness to travel and stay overnight
- Friendly demeanor, strong team and communication skills, commitment, and cost awareness
- Negotiation skills and assertiveness when interacting with negotiating partners in the role of Area Sales Manager (m/f/d)
