About the role

  • Commercial and financial management and control of research projects
  • Monitoring of budget planning and individual projects, including funds allocation
  • Advising and supporting internal project leaders on application and proposal/offer preparation
  • Preparing regular reports and financial projections
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Financial correspondence with external project partners
  • Contributing to the optimization of internal processes

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Business Administration or Economics, or completed commercial vocational training with professional experience in the public research sector
  • Relevant professional experience in controlling/financial controlling
  • Familiarity with an ERP system, e.g., SAP, or willingness to become proficient
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent numerical aptitude and analytical thinking skills
  • High level of accuracy and sense of responsibility
  • Excellent German skills (at least C1) and good English skills (at least B2), both written and spoken
