About the role

  • Enhance and implement automated data-processing and visualization workflows using Python.
  • Proficiently manipulate raw measurement data using software tools and programming techniques.
  • Design and maintain databases for efficient storage of metrology data.
  • Implement new features for data visualization, automated processing, and workflow optimization in Python.
  • Effectively translate physical and engineering concepts into code.
  • Produce clear, structured documentation for code, workflows, and database structures.
  • Actively coordinate with process engineers and team members to improve data management practices.
  • Quickly understand new software tools, programming methods, and data management techniques.

Requirements

  • Academic Background: You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in applied computer science, physics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: You have hands-on experience with object-oriented programming, particularly in Python, and are proficient in using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib.
  • Data Handling Knowledge: You are familiar with structured data formats like SQL and JSON.
  • Technical Agility: Fast code-reading skills and experience with version control systems like Git are considered advantageous.
  • Work Style & Problem-Solving: You demonstrate a reliable, independent, and structured approach to tasks.
  • Communication Skills: You possess strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, with basic German skills being a plus.
