About the role

  • Maintain and grow existing customer accounts through appropriate contact and strategic customer segments.
  • Develop relationships with and complete sales with assigned regional and national customer bases; convert non-customers into customers.
  • Maintain contact with regional and national decision makers to ensure specifications remain with Franklin Electric.
  • Coordinate and attend regional tradeshows, state and regional shows, and territory seminars.
  • Participate in pricing negotiations and purchasing contracts.
  • Input contacts into CRM software to track progress.
  • Develop and manage assigned sales staff’s selling capabilities within an assigned geographic region; monitor and maintain sales goals.
  • Develop short- and long-term forecasts, budgets, strategies, and marketing programs required to meet sales objectives.
  • Contract with independent representatives to achieve sales goals, as necessary.
  • Work with product teams to develop products that will grow sales and profitability; provide feedback to product managers to meet customer needs.
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure collateral, packaging, catalogs, Internet presence, etc., meets customer demand.
  • Report to Mike Pimentel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, business management, marketing, engineering technology, or a related field (required).
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, product management, or a related field (required).
  • Required to reside within the Pacific Northwest.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative; passion for making a positive impact.
  • Hard-working, confident, competitive, results-oriented.
  • Dedicated achiever who thrives in a fast-paced environment and meets regulations and expectations.
  • Effective communicator who can interpret information clearly and communicate results and recommendations.
  • Experience developing and managing sales staff and monitoring sales goals.
  • Experience participating in pricing negotiations, purchasing contracts, and working with CRM systems.
