Engineer

• Author Design Rules, Engineering Specifications, and update these documents as required.
• Work with Product Development Structures and Closures teams to develop feasible joints for the different programs.
• Coordinate joint feasibility testing with manufacturing and suppliers with test labs.
• Sign-off on joint feasibility testing results.
• “Go to” SME for Product Development team for mechanical joining.
• Collaborate as part of a cross-functional team including Research, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Suppliers in developing and implementing new mechanical joining processes in Ford.
• Lead/participate in solving production issues with VO, Materials, STA, and Purchasing. These include and are not limited to: Stop-Ships, Field Service Actions, Warranty, Material Shortages.
• Incorporate lessons learned into Quality Documents.
