About the role
- Lead the development of all vehicle and option prices for both current and future models to be competitive and to maximize total Company revenue. Key tasks:
- Establish prices for all Passenger Vehicles for the markets in his/her responsibility by creating Uniform Pricing Proposals supporting FoE central product actions and market specific proposals
- Understand and handle taxation and local regulatory processes in markets
- Long-term assessment of competitive pricing strategies
- Find and realize key price points of focus models in the range that meet company and customer requirements
- Work continuously and closely together with different markets’ management, European product / finance teams and commercial vehicle pricing to optimize overall profitability / market share
- Provide guidance and assist markets and brand managers with the development of product strategy & specifications, incl. future models
- Make reports/presentations for Senior Management on a regular and ad hoc basis, including monthly price position reporting versus competition
- Identify additional revenue opportunities and risks, develop corrective actions, if necessary
- Outstanding opportunity to understand current and future model processes from a cross-functional perspective - learn about Product Development / Finance views as well as Marketing and Sales.
- As pricing is one of the key elements of Ford of Europe profit achievement, the role provides regular insight into overall European / Global business issues and strategy.
- Daily contact with:
- Brand Managers of NSCs in Europe
- European central Brand Teams (Germany),
- European and Local Finance Teams (Germany, Hungary).
Requirements
- Good logic, strategic thinking
- ‘Can do’ attitude, proactive personality
- Strong business acumen coupled with a drive for results, commitment to quality
- Market sensitivity and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Must be able to demonstrate success in a position that requires strong analytical skills (strong MS Excel skills are essential)
- Interest in cars and in the industry, product knowledge
- Ability to work with tight deadlines in a politically sensitive, international environment
- "Team Oriented", with the courage to "do the right thing" for the business.
- Fluent English both written and spoken is a must
