About the role
- As a Scrum Master within First National Information Technology group, you will be accountable for building high performing Agile teams and ensuring the completion of Team deliverables.
- Facilitate agile activities and meetings - including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint demos, and retrospectives.
- Guide the team on Agile principles and values to enable and promote self-organization.
- Ensure tools and processes are documented and available for team use.
- Work with Product Owners to understand the product road-map, priorities, and schedules to guide delivery.
- Lead team to make realistic and achievable delivery commitments using standard agile metrics and reporting techniques.
- Manage execution for your team.
- Solicit and use input to evolve the delivery system to improve velocity and quality.
- Build and support a strong team dynamic where people thrive and inspire each other.
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders to manage expectations.
- Proactively identify, track, and resolve impediments that could impact team velocity.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master
- 5+ years of relevant IT or Product experience including strong understanding of customer/stakeholder relationships, business analysis, estimation and prioritization of work
- Strong knowledge of Scrum methodology and Agile principles
- Strong leadership and team building capabilities including coaching, guiding and supporting team members
- Proficient in conflict resolution
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to identify and remove impediment
- Strong, effective communication skills, ability to bring multiple roles and personalities together to work towards a shared goal
- Knowledge of other Agile methodologies (Kanban, SAFe, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience promoting agile engineering practices
