About the role
- Identify security system weaknesses, using penetration tests
- Coordinate monitoring of networks or systems for security breaches or intrusions
- Scan networks, using vulnerability assessment tools to identify vulnerabilities
- Develop response and recovery strategies for security breaches
Requirements
- Have 5+ years full-time work experience
- Native-level English skills
- U.S. residency
- Access to a laptop or desktop computer and reliable internet.
- Availability for at least 10 hours per week during the 3- to 4-week engagement (work is fully asynchronous and on your own schedule).
- Develop information security standards and best practices
- Implement software tools to assist in the detection, prevention, and analysis of security threats
- Provide technical support to computer users for installation and use of security products
Benefits
- Hourly pay: $32 – $46, commensurate with experience and project fit.
- Hourly rate may be higher for exception candidates
- Paid weekly via Fixpoint, based on approved hours.
- You will be classified as 1099 independent-contractor status; engagement is at-will.
