About the role

  • Manage projects through effective initiation, planning, execution and closure to delivering with quality, speed and value.
  • Own and drive successful large-scale project execution with the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects.
  • Lead project teams to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Provide end-to-end project management for complex projects and/or programs.
  • Guide the project team through tradeoff, risk-based decisions involving project scope, schedule and costs.
  • Ensure organizational needs for the execution and implementation of solutions are documented.
  • Track project progress, monitor and modify project schedules and provide status updates to Senior and Executive Management.
  • Know when escalation is required, and prepare data-based recommendations for management action.
  • Coach and mentor junior PMO project managers and functional project leads.
  • Utilize project management software to facilitate the planning, organization and tracking of project activities across the bank.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, finance or related field of study OR Associate Degree/ Two years of College + Two (2) years of related work/military experience ­OR Four (4) years of related work/military experience (plus any additional required experience).
  • Five (5) plus years of related formal project management experience.
  • Current and active PMP Certification OR the ability to acquire one within 18 months of start date in the Senior Project Manager role.
  • Experience in Agile or working as a Scrum Master within a team would be a plus.
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) would be a plus.
  • Previous experience working within an Enterprise PMO would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Smartsheet, Planview PPM Pro or MS Project would be a plus.
  • Master’s degree would be a plus.
