About the role
- Conduct accessibility audits and evaluations of websites, mobile apps, and digital documents.
- Provide expert guidance on WCAG, EN 301 549, and other relevant standards.
- Collaborate with design, development, and content teams to embed accessibility into the product lifecycle.
- Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops on accessibility best practices.
- Advise on procurement and third-party tools to ensure accessibility compliance.
- Monitor legislative changes and emerging trends in digital accessibility across the EU.
- Create and maintain accessibility statements and documentation in line with EU Web Accessibility Directive.
- Engage with users with disabilities to gather feedback and improve usability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
- ISTQB Foundation.
- Desired skills IAAP CPACC or WAS certification.
- Experience working in public sector or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of inclusive design principles.
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps environments.
- Proven experience in digital accessibility, ideally in a European context.
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1/2.2, EN 301 549, and the EU Web Accessibility Directive.
- Familiarity with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, voice recognition software).
- Experience using accessibility testing tools (e.g., Axe, WAVE, JAWS, NVDA).
- Ability to interpret and apply legal and technical standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
