About the role
- Serve as internal solution owner for SAP, overseeing design consistency, data integrity, and cross-functional integration.
- Own the SAP governance process, including change advisory, release planning, and coordination with business process owners.
- Ensure the SAP system supports business process efficiency, compliance and scalability.
- Coordinate the work of internal SAP functional consultants across modules (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Security).
- Translate business requirements into actionable SAP solutions, working closely with key users and stakeholders.
- Maintain a high-level understanding of end-to-end processes and identify opportunities for process improvement or automation.
- Lead or support delivery of SAP-related projects (e.g., upgrades, integrations, enhancement waves).
- Act as the primary liaison for external SAP consultants, developers, and architects, ensuring alignment with internal standards and objectives.
- Facilitate decision-making on solution design, resourcing, and system road map execution.
- Guide internal team members and ensure knowledge transfer, documentation, and adherence to best practices.
- Provide internal oversight of areas such as Compliance, master data, testing/validation, and data migration when applicable.
- Support leadership with updates on SAP performance, risks, and improvement plans.
Requirements
- Experience in SAP functional roles (cross-module exposure preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership in SAP solution ownership, process alignment, or governance roles
- Strong understanding of core SAP modules (e.g., MM, FI/CO, SD, EWM)
- Proven ability to manage stakeholders and translate business needs into SAP actions
- Experience in life sciences / pharma / regulated industries
- Preferred Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and modern SAP integration (Fiori, Cloud services)
- Experience with vendor/partner management.
