About the role
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' addiction, mental health status, and psychosocial needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating addiction medicine principles and psychotherapy techniques.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery, mental health counseling, and life transitions.
- Provide crisis intervention and anger management support to clients experiencing acute emotional distress.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and social workers, to coordinate holistic care.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Educate clients and their families on substance abuse prevention and coping mechanisms to support sustained recovery.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent, or eligible for licensure (supervision hours provided).
- Strong knowledge of substance use disorders and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse client populations.
