About the role

  • Focus on an issue portfolio related to financial markets, US tech policy, or US defense budgeting and management.
  • Tracking developments on Capitol Hill and within the administration.
  • Develop and maintain analytical products to track policy developments and market impacts.
  • Draft and assist in editing client-facing materials produced by our US practice.
  • Lead client interactions independently and in coordination with analysts from other teams within Eurasia Group, to include videoconferences, in person meetings, roundtable discussions, and panels.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in policy development within government, journalism, or the private sector.
  • Located in Washington, D.C. with the ability to work in-person 3 days per week.
  • Direct experience shaping policy or working with congressional offices, or covering them for a publication.
  • Ability to work autonomously as a senior contributor.
  • Familiarity with administration policy developments, particularly in the financial regulation, tech, or defense fields.
  • Working understanding of AI tools; knowledge of data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Experience turning data into compelling visualizations.
  • Experience in transforming data into compelling visuals and leveraging the design team's capabilities.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clean copy under tight deadlines and conduct political research and analysis.
  • Excellent time management skills to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
