About the role
- Design mechanical systems, components, or assemblies using engineering principles
- Works closely with project managers, engineers and contractors to create unique high-level concepts and designs for all assigned projects
- Conducts field surveys to identify existing equipment types and system capabilities
- Produces, with limited supervision, design documents including drawings, system flow diagrams and architecture, wiring diagrams, construction details, and equipment scheduling
- Delivers concepts and designs according to strict project deadlines
- Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to team members
Requirements
- Associate degree in HVAC Technology, Building Systems Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 4-6 years' design experience
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
- Strong technical skills
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Vision and Creativity
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Planning skills
- Possesses working knowledge of the subject matter
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
