About the role

  • You’ll be accountable for building a high-performance, scalable WordPress site from the ground up
  • You need to design and develop bespoke solutions tailored to modern WordPress architecture, utilizing the full potential of the Gutenberg editor, with a focus on performance, security, and minimal reliance on external plugins
  • Support will be provided to help you upskill in WordPress and Gutenberg after joining

Requirements

  • Experience in PHP development with a strong background in Laravel, Symfony, or other modern PHP frameworks
  • Willingness to learn and work with WordPress and Gutenberg
  • Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles
  • Experience working with MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL, including query optimization and database design
  • Strong understanding of version control systems, particularly Git
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or cloud-based deployments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with unit testing & E2E testing
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in building and integrating RESTful APIs (preferred)
  • Some experience in developing custom WordPress plugins and themes is a plus (preferred)
  • Understanding of JavaScript, particularly React (used in Gutenberg blocks) (preferred)
  • Knowledge of modern frontend technologies such as React, Vue.js, or Tailwind CSS (preferred)
  • Familiarity with headless CMS architectures (preferred)
  • Prior experience working in a SaaS or product-based company (preferred)
  • Experience working with hosting infra, Reverse Proxy, CDN, WAF, etc (preferred)
