Support commodity management teams conducting offline negotiation activities and pricing reviews.
Conduct product notice change reviews and alternate sourcing of component parts to avoid supply disruption.
Perform risk assessment of component parts and commercial auditing of suppliers.
Apply sourcing skills to find substitute parts and negotiate with suppliers to source parts at the best cost.
Ensure accuracy of part pricing, inventory levels, BOM information, and revision numbers of engineering drawings.
Apply analytical skills to generate reports and presentations.
Manage supply chain systems and databases.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
At least 1.5 years of relevant experience in procurement function in the manufacturing industry or a supply chain role in the shared services industry.
Knowledgeable in mechanical and electrical/electronic commodities
Knowledgeable in environmental legislation and similar (e.g., ROHS, REACH, etc.).
Fair degree of understanding in the field of Supply Chain.
Basic understanding of MRP, ERP, and SRM systems and tools, and multi-level BOMs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Experience in using Oracle or other similar applications for data entry.
Proactive, highly innovative problem-solving and ability to work independently.
Proficient communication and collaboration skills; ability to work with people at any level.
