About the role
- Drive Instrument sales across Iowa and South Dakota within Bio-Refining, Food & Bev, and power markets
- Act as a strategic partner to current and prospective customers, understanding business needs and recommending solutions to grow sales
- Use proven sales strategies and CRM tools to promote and sell the company’s products and “total value”
- Conduct regular territory analysis and strategic planning to identify and capitalize on opportunities
- Pursue and secure major project business and close deals
- Develop product-based solutions to address customers’ latent pain
- Deliver sales solutions both independently and collaboratively across teams
- Set priorities and manage time efficiently; travel within territory and attend occasional factory training and meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, or combination of education and experience relevant to our products and industry.
- Minimum 1 years of related technical sales experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness and ability to travel within territory as required, with potential for occasional overnight stays
- Availability for occasional travel outside the territory for factory training and meetings
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business
- Preferred: Three (3) or more years of related technical sales experience
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to use CRM tools and proven sales strategies
- Based in Sioux Falls, SD, or surrounding area (remote field-based within territory)
