About the role

  • Collaborate with systems and electrical engineers to define technical requirements for the powertrain distribution system.
  • Support the creation of system-level specifications, including voltage levels, current ratings, protection mechanisms, and fault tolerance strategies.
  • Assist in the design and development of prototypes for the electric powertrain distribution system.
  • Work with hardware and software teams to integrate components such as contactors, relays, busbars, and power converters.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate the performance and safety of the distribution system.
  • Document design decisions, test procedures, and results in technical reports.
  • Work closely with propulsion and battery teams to ensure seamless integration of the distribution system.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of electrical power systems, power electronics, and distribution architectures.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage systems, protection circuits, and fault detection is a plus.
  • Experience with prototyping, lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies), and testing methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
