About the role
- Prepare, analyze, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.
- Maintain the general ledger, ensure proper account reconciliations, and monitor journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations, filing required returns and resolving compliance issues.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and responses to auditors.
- Analyze financial data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations for operational improvements.
- Identify and implement enhancements to accounting processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee AP/AR activities, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow projections, and ensure adequate liquidity for operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
- CPA, CIMA, or other relevant accounting certifications (preferred).
- Minimum of 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
