About the role
- architect, configure, and maintain VMware infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance across virtualized systems
- deploy, configure, and manage core VMware technologies such as vSphere, vCenter, VSAN, NSX, and other related products
- work collaboratively with IT team members to troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent issues within the virtualization environment
- create, update, and maintain comprehensive documentation for virtualization infrastructure
- design and implement disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies
- plan, test, and execute upgrades and patching for VMware infrastructure to maintain security and performance
- continuously monitor virtual infrastructure health
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience with designing, configuring and maintaining VMware environments
- 6+ years of experience with installing, configuring, and managing VMware vSphere, vCenter, NSX, and VSAN
- 2+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and tool development
- experience with working in cross-functional and matrixed teams
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- ability to obtain a DoD 8570.11 IAT Level II Certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA‑Security, GSEC, or SSCP Certification within 30 days of hire date
