About the role

  • Assist product liability litigation attorneys and paralegals with quality legal services
  • Prepare and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports
  • Perform electronic and non-electronic filings of legal documents with courts
  • Maintain and organize electronic and physical legal case files
  • Provide phone support with attorneys, opposing counsel, and courts
  • Enter attorney’s time from logs for review utilizing time entry software
  • Prepare and submit invoices and expense reports
  • Assist with new business intake processes and data entry tasks
  • Coordinate internal and external support services for attorneys

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Post high school degree or equivalent legal educational training preferred
  • Three to five years related work experience in a legal services environment
  • Experience electronically filing legal documents with various courts is required
  • Self-motivated, amiable and resourceful
  • Acute time-management, keen attention to detail, superior organizational skills
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data and utilize new technologies for data tracking and reporting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of NetDocuments, Elegrity, File Trail, BigHand, and Chrome River are a plus
  • Typing speed of 55 WPM or greater
