About the role
- Provides technical support/expertise for developed premixes to customers and Account Managers
- Advises on production selection, overages, application troubleshooting, and Premix Formulation Development
- Communicates completed premix formulations to sales department
- Assists Marketing with Development of Concepts involving premixes
- Ensures all relevant information is documented accurately in the formulation and CRM systems
- Works with Application Labs to troubleshoot customer premix problems
- Evaluates application specific performance studies of new ingredients
- Creates/Develops/Prepares SOPs for current and new processes
Requirements
- A.S. degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred) in a scientific discipline, preferably in food science, chemistry, pharmacy or chemical engineering
- Minimum of 3+ years of industry experience in a relevant field
- Knowledge of food & beverage and dietary supplement industry market segments including their manufacturing processes and requirements
- Knowledge of nutritional ingredients including vitamins, carotenoids, omega-3's (functions, commercially available forms and regulations)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Statistical/trend analysis tools and other computer skills
