About the role
- Build and evolve systems that power the monetization of Dropbox products across diverse storefronts
- Shape scalable, resilient services supporting millions of users globally
- Plan and forecast platform growth and drive architectural improvements
- Enhance performance, reliability, and security to ensure seamless customer experiences
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the overall growth and success of the engineering team
- Autonomously deliver ongoing business impact across a team, product capability, or technical system
- Participate in the team's on-call rotation to ensure continuous service operation
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building applications professionally
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience
- Delivered tangible results from conceptualization to implementation and significant contributions to projects
- Experience in developing web applications and building robust, scalable systems
- Contributions to open source projects or technical communities (preferred)
- Full-Stack Development (preferred)
- Technologies: MySQL, Python, Go, Java, Rust (preferred)
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation
