About the role

  • Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool, and automate workflows and reports to improve efficiency
  • Advise internal customers on software asset management and support license inventories and audits
  • Analyze license usage and identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities
  • Manage the SAP license inventory, including ensuring proper license measurement, assigning licenses, and orchestrating repurchase activities
  • Advise SAP-using IT areas/products—especially on selecting the appropriate licensing model, optimizing license costs and inventory, and defining requirements for new SAP contracts
  • Support Service Managers in planning, managing, and billing license and maintenance fees

Requirements

  • Completed two-year technical college/vocational school or at least three-year vocational training plus additional specialized further training, or equivalent qualifications acquired by other means
  • Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and enhancing SAM tools
  • Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or similar tools
  • Ability to analyze license usage and identify potential cost savings
  • Ideally experience managing SAP licenses, including license measurement with the License Administration Workbench and knowledge of SAP license metrics and contract terms
  • You are enthusiastic about solving customer requirements and demonstrate a conscientious, results-oriented working style
