About the role
- Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool, and automate workflows and reports to improve efficiency
- Advise internal customers on software asset management and support license inventories and audits
- Analyze license usage and identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities
- Manage the SAP license inventory, including ensuring proper license measurement, assigning licenses, and orchestrating repurchase activities
- Advise SAP-using IT areas/products—especially on selecting the appropriate licensing model, optimizing license costs and inventory, and defining requirements for new SAP contracts
- Support Service Managers in planning, managing, and billing license and maintenance fees
Requirements
- Completed two-year technical college/vocational school or at least three-year vocational training plus additional specialized further training, or equivalent qualifications acquired by other means
- Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and enhancing SAM tools
- Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or similar tools
- Ability to analyze license usage and identify potential cost savings
- Ideally experience managing SAP licenses, including license measurement with the License Administration Workbench and knowledge of SAP license metrics and contract terms
- You are enthusiastic about solving customer requirements and demonstrate a conscientious, results-oriented working style
