About the role
- Edit short-form videos optimised for TikTok, with cross-posting to Twitter and Instagram when needed
- Source the biggest stories, moments and viral videos for us to cover in our short-form formatting
- Monitor trends and conversations to identify viral content opportunities and breaking stories in gaming/entertainment culture
- Collaborate with other members of the social team to share stories that are suitable to be made and posted on other platforms
- Track and analyse performance metrics to optimise posting strategies and content formats
- Stay current with TikTok's latest features and best practices to keep our content fresh and innovative
Requirements
- Experience editing for large social accounts with a significant follower count
- Proven experience on TikTok and other short-form video platforms
- Knowledge of gaming, streamer and entertainment culture
- Ability to edit quickly and creatively using tools like Premiere Pro
- A keen eye for what’s trending on TikTok and how to adapt those trends to Dexerto’s tone and audience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and react quickly to breaking news or trending topics
- Availability to work during UK hours with flexibility for major gaming events or breaking news
